Interlibrary Loan

The Library and Information Center of Panteion University uses an Interlibrary Loan System (IRIS) to locate and obtain resources from libraries in Greece and abroad. Resources that eligible users of the library may borrow through this system include articles, books, dissertations, and conference papers.

Eligibility – Procedures

Currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff of Panteion University are eligible to request materials through Interlibrary Loan.

• To make an Interlibrary Loan request, first search our Catalogue to make sure that we don’t already have the material.

• Then mail to ill@panteion.gr,  your contact details (name, register number, department, and phone number) and the requested items.

• The library will notify you via email when the material has arrived. Digital material will be delivered electronically, but you will need to pick up print materials from the library.

• The library will also notify you if the material you have requested is not available.

Charges and Fees

There is no charge for using the ILL service; however, you will need to pay postage expenses and handling fees charged by the lending library.

Restrictions

Libraries as material suppliers are in charge of borrowing rights and use.  Library members are fully responsible for lost or damaged ILL materials. Library members are also responsible for the fair use of the requested material according to copyright law.

Interlibrary Loan service for other libraries

Greek libraries and libraries and information services from abroad may submit interlibrary loan requests using the electronic system IRIS (for books), network ERMIS / National Documentation Center (for document delivery requests).
