Open Science: What it is and what is needed for its implementation

Purpose:
To inform the academic community about:
(a) the basic principles and practices of Open Science covering all stages of the research cycle (not just open access), as well as the related services offered by HEAL-Link,
(b) the basic principles and practices of Research Integrity, and
(c) the issues surrounding the “reproducibility crisis” and existing tools that enhance research reliability.
Goals:
To cultivate an informed academic community aware of the existing tools that make research outputs more open and reliable.
Expected Outcomes:
To promote a research and professional research culture aligned with the latest developments in Open Science and Research Integrity, as well as with the needs of society.
