Electronic resources – databases with controlled access

Electronic resources are journals, books and other material such as photo archives, museum catalogs, encyclopedias, dictionaries, audio and video files, etc. provided through large databases – electronic platforms, either at the level of bibliographic reference or in full text. The electronic resources – databases, provide a modern and easy-to-use digital environment for searching and retrieving information and content, necessary at the various stages of the educational and research process. At the same time facilitate the creation of bibliographic references. Electronic databases provide a multitude of advantages including:

  • targeted content search (subject, title, author, keywords, date, etc.).
  • carrying out your research remotely, without being in the Library area.
  • printing and/or downloading articles.
  • content is constantly available even when the Library is closed.

Library offers its members: electronic resources through the Heal-Link web portal, as a member of the Association of Greek Academic Libraries  but also individual bases with more specialized content, and electronic resources through Panteion University subscriptions, that respond to more specialized demands of the Panteion community.
