🌱 Our Library is Going Green!
🌍 Discover BiblioGreen @ Panteion and join us on a journey from knowledge to action!
The Library & Information Centre of Panteion University is participating in BiblioGreen, an initiative of the Goethe-Institut, implemented in collaboration with the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Thessaloniki and the environmental organisation Mamagea.
As part of this initiative, the Library, in collaboration with the Department of Economic and Regional Development of Panteion Universiy, is developing and implementing BiblioGreen @ Panteion, a series of activities designed to raise awareness, encourage engagement and promote active participation across the university community.
🌿 Our Goal
To make our Library a space that promotes environmental responsibility, knowledge sharing and collective action. A place where we can reflect, learn and envision a more sustainable future together.
Because libraries are more than places of knowledge. They are also spaces for change, awareness, collaboration, networking and the exchange of ideas and experiences.
💚 How Will We Put This into Action?
📢 Awareness Campaign: Exploring climate change, sustainability, bioeconomy and the circular economy.
📚 Green Corner at the Library: Highlighting relevant literature and bioeconomy initiatives.
🎨 Student Bookmark Design Competition: Create a bookmark for the Library with an environmental message. Put your imagination and creativity to work for the planet!
♻️ An Event Featuring Researchers and a Hands-on Recycling Workshop: Bringing scientific knowledge and practical activities together in the Library.
🌱 Participation in the BiblioGreen Festival: Taking place on 25 November at the Goethe-Institut. And, of course, everyone is welcome!
🌍 Be Part of the Change!
The future of our planet concerns us all, but especially young people, who will face some of the greatest environmental challenges in the years ahead.
That is why we want you to be part of this initiative. Share your ideas, get involved, be creative and take action!
💚 Join us! Because change begins with knowledge, but becomes reality through action.
