The aim of the Panteion University Library and Information Center is to cover, support and promote the educational and research activities of the academic community of Panteion University in the context of undergraduate and postgraduate study programs of the Departments and the broadening of the academic objectives and the social role of the Panteion University.

For this purpose, the Library has fully automated its functions and develops its printed and electronic and digital collections along with several online services and applications. At the same time it participates in national and European cooperation networks in order to make better use of available information resources.

Since October 1991, the Library has begun its reorganization and modernization, where, five years later, with the implementation of the EPEAEK programs of the 1st and 2nd Community Support Frameworks (CSF), the Library managed to become a library of modern requirements with a large number of users and perhaps the most massive and living space of the entire University.

The Library is housed in the central, neoclassical building of the University in four levels of a total area of 1,900 sq.m. Its collection, covering the broad scientific field of socio-political sciences, is open access, ie users can search for the material themselves on the shelves.

All members of the Panteion University have the right to use the Library services after they have purchased the Library Card. Library open access libraries and reading rooms are also available to external users, who can search for material and study in the reading room.
